The responsibilities:

  • All aspects involved in the Company’s individual travel programme development and the handling of their associated product requirements including booking hotel and other tourism product supplies where necessary.
  • Dealing with overseas Tour Operator partners on bookings and also where appropriate and necessary their clients when on holiday in Ireland
  • Preparation of client itineraries and their associated costing
  • Preparing client documentation packs, distributing them to the agreed pick-up point and ensuring the smooth operation of the FIT booking prior to and during their stay in Ireland.
  • General office duties including booking confirmations, filing, processing reservations including the preparation of client vouchers and invoices through the Company’s reservations system (Tourplan)
  • Any other duties as assigned from time to time by your Manager or Director (and this could be in another Department
Profile:
-          Computer literate - Can use word, excel, MS Outlook etc
-          Good level of English
-          Student in Business / Finance
-          Enthusiasm required
-          Eager to learn
-          Interest in tourism

 
Remuneration:  € 300 per month

 The responsibilities:

· Sending documentation to suppliers for tour groups, create and update technical itineraries for tour groups, and prepare and send rooming lists to hotels.
· In collaboration with different language departments i.e. German, French, Mediterranean, International Markets and Scandinavian trainees are to ensure that all Irish tour guides, Irish coach companies and overseas tour leaders have the necessary and correct documentation in order to manage and run their touring groups effectively.
· Responsible for updating the database with the correct details.
· Help with any admin work as required, sending bookings, amendments and cancellations for visits and lunches to suppliers
· Daily communication with suppliers- the role is logistics-focused; trainees are required to liaise with the group account handlers and suppliers.
· Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
· Excellent team work and organisation skills.
· Any other duties as assigned from time to time by your Manager or Director (and this could be in another Department).

           Administration Duties:
·         Carrying out administration duties for the Director of Sales & Marketing.
·         Ensuring the smooth running of the office – such as filing/typing/phone answering/report writing/database compiling etc.
·         Taking general enquiries and dealing with them accordingly.
·         Coordinating details of certain events with all departments.
·         Attendance and minute taking at departmental meetings when required
·         Creating positive and trusting relationships with all clients.
·         Coordination of vouchers for the hotel and to support other departments, 
·         Compilation of weekly reports as set out by the DOSM.

Marketing Duties:
·         Support function in relation to marketing to include advertisement placements, proof reading and liaising with printers and designers on certain artwork.
·         Management and daily involvement of social media campaigns
·         Support and involvement in all PR activities to include coordination of photo shoots, competition winners etc.
·         Management of databases on behalf of the sales and marketing department.

-Feedback from customers is actively solicited.

Remuneration:  We would be able to contribute €50 per week towards their travel expenses.
Meals will be provided while on duty.

The Interns main responsibility is to invite and confirm as many attendees as the event will hold. As the speakers and venue have been confirmed the role will be focussed on social media, building a database of potential attendees, inviting/emailing them, confirming them, and getting publicity for the event and other ad hoc duties. The Intern will also be encouraged to suggest other means of attracting attendees. There are no sales involved as the event is free of charge for suitably qualified attendees.

Good written and spoken English. Capable of using standard Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint Etc. Good knowledge and interest in social media such as Twitter and LinkedIn. Keen interest in PR and Marketing.  Good attention to detail. Able to work on own initiative.
