Host company profile:  This is a leading company in transport and logistics all over the world. The company has branches in Dublin, Cork and Shannon, and has about 200 employees throughout Ireland.

Location: Dublin

Date: The internship is available from December 3rd 2012 for a minimum of 5-6 months. The period of the internship is flexible to adapt to your requirements.

The responsibilities:

The role will involve a variety of tasks:

·         Liaising with customers on shipment arrivals and departures
·         Organising deliveries and collections to customers and follow-up with transportation.
·         Checking daily with shipping lines on transit schedules
·         Updating information on CIEL computer operating system
·         Handling Customs formalities
·         Customer and Warehouse reporting
·         Accruing charges on our accounts system
·         Registering supplier invoices & credit notes
·         General administration

Profile:
·         Business/Marketing or a Logistics background/studies (Interest in Logistics is preferred)
·         Good communication skills
·         Desire to learn and a commitment to working hard and making a genuine contribution.
·         Willingness to undertake all kinds of work.
·         Strong Computer literacy: in Particular with Excel, and good internet skills.
·         Good English
·         Punctuality


Remuneration: 

 The company will offer an allowance (deemed not to be salary) to help towards travel and expenses throughout your stay in Ireland. The amount offered is €650 per month or €150 per week paid on a monthly basis.

Date: The internship is available from November, 26th 2012 for a minimum of 4-6 months.

The responsibilities:


The role will involve a variety of tasks:

·         Assist QSHE Manager with evaluation of the company’s Hauliers, communicate with hauliers direct. Up-date Data Base.
·         Evaluate Seafreight Carriers and up-date database.
·         Evaluate Airfreight Carriers and up-date database.
·         Gather information on the company’s suppliers and set up database.
·         Assist QSHE Manager with risk assessments and up-date information on reports.
·         Complaints Analysis Report for each site in Ireland
·         Housekeeping Analysis Report for each site
·         Review the Ireland Environment Manual
·         Assist in developing the QSHE & Security Training Manual


Profile:

The intern will do his/her internship in the area responsible for all bookings, itineraries and vouchers for all touring groups. He/She could have contact with the overseas clients and Irish suppliers.
This placement require a good eye for details and great enthusiasm.
Please note it is a purely admin internship that we offer (not highly advanced admin) It will give you a good base for using English on a daily basis. During your time with us, you will be involved as much as possible in our every day work. On arrival, you will be assigned to key staff members who will train you thus allowing you complete set tasks. We expect the student to accept certain responsibility for the work they carry out.
The nature of our work is highly administrative with constant use of fax/e mail/telephone/our in-house computer system (Tourplan)/filing etc. We provide a service for our overseas clients based on their requirements and in order for us to be successful, we must reply quickly and accurately.

-          To provide administrational support.
-          To undertake product research
-          To produce documentation and vouchers for the groups travelling during the season.
-          To administer Tattoo tickets as required.
-          To meet and Greet clients as appropriate.
-          To assist in the Product contracting process when required.
-          The candidate will be mentored throughout the placement by Customer Care Manager. 


Profile:

-         High level of English
-         Fluent French
-         Very good keyboard skills
-         Be able to be quick and accurate
-   Be flexible, have a team oriented approach to work, including the ability to be self-motivated
-         Be punctual and motivated
-         High level of concentration required at all times


Remuneration:  £250 GBP per month to cover expenses.
