Position: Tourism Operation Assistant – Italian/Spanish

company profile and internship information: This Company is responsible for all services relevant to group and individual travel into both Ireland and Scotland .
The intern will do his/her internship in the
area responsible for all
bookings, itineraries and vouchers for all touring groups. He/She could have
contact with the overseas clients and Irish suppliers.
This placement requires a good eye for details and great enthusiasm.
Please note it is a purely admin
internship that we offer (not highly advanced admin) It will give you a good
base for using English on a daily basis. During your time with us, you will be
involved as much as possible in our every day work. On arrival, you will be
assigned to key staff members who will train you thus allowing you complete set
tasks. We expect the student to accept certain responsibility for the work they
carry out.
The nature of our work is highly
administrative with constant use of fax/e mail/telephone/our in-house computer
system (Tourplan)/filing etc. We provide a service for our overseas clients
based on their requirements and in order for us to be successful, we must reply
quickly and accurately.
Location: Edinburgh / Scotland
Date: The
internship is available from January/February 2013 for minimum 3 months. The
period of the internship is flexible to adapt to your requirements but will
last at least 3 months.
The
responsibilities:

To
contact Bed&Breakfast suppliers and make reservations.

To
provide administrational support.

To
undertake product research
-
To
produce documentation and vouchers for the groups travelling during the season.

To
administer Tattoo tickets as required.

To meet
and Greet clients as appropriate.

To
assist in the Product contracting process when required.

The
candidate will be mentored throughout the placement by Group Operations Manager
depending on the area in which the student is placed.
Profile:

High level of English

Fluent Italian/Spanish

Very
good keyboard skills

Be able
to be quick and accurate

Be flexible,
have a team oriented approach to work, including the ability to be
self-motivated

Be punctual and motivated
-
High level of concentration required at all times
Remuneration: £250 GBP per month to cover
expenses.
Please note the service of finding you a suitable
internship is payable. Our service
includes matching your profile with the company in Ireland where you will do your
internship. We will also be advising you on finding a suitable accommodation if
needed and with your integration in Ireland . Furthermore we will
monitor your progress with the company during your internship and assist you
with any issues that might arise.
