A400 - Graphic/Web Designer

Internships Ireland is a company specializing in locating interesting internships in Ireland for European students who are looking to do internships in Ireland.

Position: Graphic/Web Designer

Host company profile: Software Development Company

Location: Dublin / Ireland

Date: The internship is immediately available for 3 to 6 months. The period of the internship is flexible to adapt to your requirements.

The responsibilities:

-                      Graphic design and front end development of online advertising products such as websites, banners and e-mails.

-                      Creation of logos and branded artwork for new products.

-                      Create sample design layouts.

-                      Maintain current websites and ensure that all content is kept up to date.

-                      Design and develop new marketing material in line with brand standards and visual identity (both online and print material). 

-                      Working with project managers, programmers, developers and printers to complete projects

-                      Contribute creative ideas to the marketing and advertising strategy for new products.

The intern will be provided with full training and will have constant support from our other colleague and the manager.

Profile:

-                      Knowledge and demonstrable experience with cross-browser and cross-platform issues (IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari

-                      Knowledgeable of high accessibility and keyboard friendliness

-                      Experience of working on a web based product as distinct from only having worked on web sites is highly desirable

-                      Digital imaging and illustration with Adobe Photoshop a distinct advantage

-                      Experience of developing wire frames highly desirable

-                      Attention to detail and creativity in problem-solving.

-                      Hands on experience of HTML, XHTML and CSS.

-                      Basic knowledge of JavaScript, JQuery and Flash.

Knowledge gained:

Participants will gain experience in several facets of an SME and Startup company and will be welcome to get involved in many areas of the business. There are a number of projects which the appropriate candidate can part take including new web design, customer newsletter roll out and CRM system implementation. The candidate will work closely with our development team and marketing staff.

Remuneration:  150€ per week will be paid

                                                             

Please note the service of finding you a suitable internship is payable.  Our service includes matching your profile with the company in Ireland where you will do your internship. We will also be advising you on finding a suitable accommodation if needed and with your integration in Ireland. Furthermore we will monitor your progress with the company during your internship and assist you with any issues that might arise.
