Position: Young Environmentalist Award

Host Company Profile: Environmental education and youth organisation

Location: Dublin

Date: The internship will be available mid-July, for 3-6 months.

The responsibilities:

-     Assisting with the preparation of action plans for youth programmes

-     Assisting with the preparation of reports to manager and to funders

-     Marketing of youth programmes by telephone calls directly to teachers, schools and youth clubs

-     Assisting with the organisation of training events in workshops given in schools

-     Assisting with preparation of materials, creation of crafts and props for workshops

-     Assisting with the facilitating of workshops and presentation

-     Administrate and support for all youth work including the use of a CRM database, contacting schools, youth clubs, and related services

-     Some admin and reception work by being first point of contact to our “customers”, guests and public

-     Offering people information regarding the organisation and our programmes

-     Maintain records, databases and files

-     Assisting with youth competition exhibit entries

Profile:

-     A relevant third level qualification

-     Be self-motivated, energetic, positive and creative.

-     Excellent communication skills

-     Excellent organisational skills

-     Good working knowledge with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

-     Be flexible

-     Capable of working on own initiative and as part of a team

-     Experience in the voluntary sector with a genuine interest in development of young people and/or environmental protection

-     Some knowledge of the education system in Ireland desirable

-     Some experience dealing with funding applications and research desirable

Remuneration: No remuneration
