Management Assistant

Date: The
internship is available now. The duration of the
internship is flexible.
The
responsibilities:

Assist with the coordination
and planning of a Conference
-
Liaise with hotel, speakers,
exhibitors and delegates as required
-
Take ownership of the
preparation of materials and equipment needed
-
Maximise attendance using
direct mail and online facilities to raise awareness
-
Communicate the expected
attendance levels to relevant stakeholders
-
Raise sponsorship for the
overall cost of the conference
-
Keep detailed and accurate
conference files e.g. exhibitor databases, recording contact and financial
information
-
Ensure attendance is monitored
and attendants’ personal details are accurately captured for future follow-up
-
Compile and monitor a feedback
system on the quality and effectiveness of the conference
-
Ensure the continual feedback
and implementation of ideas for improvement and development of the conference
-
Work as part of the Conference
Organisation Team during the event in order to ensure it runs as smoothly as
possible.

Assist with the coordination,
planning and smooth delivery of rehabilitation courses
-
Collaborate with other
researchers in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of surveys
-
Consult with rehabilitators in
order to identify survey needs
-
Conduct surveys and collect
data
-
Prepare and present summaries
and analyses of survey data, including tables, and describe survey techniques
and results
Profile:
-
Ideally have an interest in
animals/conservation
-
Excellent oral and written
communication skills
-
Excellent time management and
organisational skills
-
Ability to exercise independent
judgment and initiative
-
Ideally have past event
management experience or tourism/hospitality/customer service background
through either course work or past work experience
-
Be enthusiastic, self-motivated
and outgoing
-
Be able to establish productive
relationships with people at all levels

Be able to gather and interpret
information for business research
-
Be commercially aware and
customer-focused
-
Have a positive and adaptable
approach to problem solving

Be innovative and creative to distinguish our event

Ideally have knowledge of sales and/or marketing

Be able to work as part of a team
Remuneration: Travel expenses when in Ireland ;
unfortunately only in the region of 10 – 15 €/day
